March for Our Lives Tampa is hosting a concert Saturday aimed at getting young people to vote in November. Bands And Ballots is part of the national voter-education and registration drive that began in June by student survivors from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

Young people are on their way to becoming a greater share of the electorate in wake of the Parkland school shooting, according to a new data analysis. 

The Democratic data firm TargetSmart found that the share of new registrations by people under 30 is up eight percent in Florida and two percent nationally since the Feb. 14 mass shooting.

The families of the 17 victims killed in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting will each receive $400,000 from a $10.5 million fund. Eighteen of the injured survivors will receive $1.63 million.
