About 11 percent of children in Florida are uninsured, one of the highest rates in the nation, according to a new report from the Georgetown University Center for Children and Families. The report noted a 1.8 percent decline in the rate from 2010 to 2012 in Florida. As the Tampa Bay Times reports, researchers credit the drop in the uninsured rate to higher enrollment in KidCare, the Children's Health Insurance Program in Florida.
