A Volusia County pastor who recently spoke in support of the CEO of Halifax Health is one of two people hired at $60,000 a year to be a community outreach consultant, the Daytona Beach News-Journal reports.
Rev. John T. Long of The Tubman-King Community Church signed his contract with Halifax the same day he expressed support for the hospital’s CEO Jeff Feasel during a vote to oust him, the News-Journal reports.
Long’s financial connection to the hospital was surprise to some board members, according to the News-Journal.
