The nation’s largest pharmacy benefit manager plans to cut 390 jobs at its Tampa location - including 150 pharmacists, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
A 10 percent decrease in revenue in the first quarter of 2014 is the reason Express Scripts gave for cutting its 720-employee staff in Tampa nearly in half, the Times reports. The company is planning to layoff 1,890 workers nationwide because of an 18 percent drop in the volume of prescriptions it handles, the Times reports.
