A Hollywood acupuncturist who claimed he could make wrinkles disappear and lift bustlines with a “natural” procedure has been charged with practicing medicine without a license, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports. Charlie Ware, who is a licensed acupuncturist but has no medical training or license, admitted to injecting a skin-tightening product called Simildiet in about a dozen people. The product is only supposed to be used externally, according to the manufacturer. One woman says she had to go to the emergency room five times after receiving the treatments.
