Women pushing strollers and pulling a red wagon delivered 11,000 petitions to Gov. Rick Scott on Tuesday, requesting that he veto a bill that would override local sick-time benefit ordinances, according to The Palm Beach Post.
On Wednesday morning, Scott signed a bill today backed by the Florida Medical Association that tightens requirements on expert witnesses in medical-malpractice cases. He was also expected to sign a bill requiring medical care for newborns “who survive botched abortions,” The Associated Press reports.
