The state recorded 106 deaths from complications due to COVID-19 since Sunday, bringing the overall death toll in Florida to 19,529 people.
The state also reported 7,711 people tested positive for COVID-19 since Sunday, bringing Florida's total to 1,065,785 cases.
Statewide, 4,495 people were hospitalized. That's an increase of 95 since Sunday.
The Florida Department of Health reported the state got back the results for 111,745 tests Sunday. Of those tested for the first time, 7.64 percent were positive.
That deaths included 16 people in the greater Tampa Bay region, with seven of those in Hillsborough County. The number of coronavirus-related deaths crossed the 300 mark in Pasco County, and is just shy of 400 in Sarasota County.
As of 2 p.m. Monday, 990 people in the Tampa region were hospitalized with COVID-19 as the primary cause — up five from Sunday. In the area, 1,286 people tested positive for the virus.
