A Jacksonville fertility clinic and its owner will pay almost $100,000 for overbilling the TRICARE system, the health care program for active duty service members, and others with ties to the military, the Florida Times-Union reports.
The Jacksonville Center for Reproductive Medicine and owner Michael Fox are charged under the False Claims Act, according to the Times-Union.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said the practice claimed a doctor provided services, while a physician assistant or nurse practitioner actually performed the treatment.
