The Palm Beach County Health Department says at least four people who treated a sick kitten found in a park will need treatment for rabies after it was found to have the fatal disease, the Palm Beach Postreports.
Animal workers were trying to round up the entire colony of feral cats to be euthanized, since it appears the kitten was infected by another feline.
It’s not clear where the rabies cluster originated, which is a concern to health officials.
