A few weeks ago, the Tampa Bay Times shared the story of Lyndsey Staub, an 18-year-old who has been fighting kidney cancer since she was a toddler. Her doctors said last year that the Wilms’ tumor that kept coming back meant it was unlikely she would live long enough to graduate from high school. Through the pain and medications that literally made her head spin, she completed all of her work, and last night, the entire crowd rose to a standing ovation as she collected her diploma.
