For about two years, orthopedic surgeon Robert Zann stayed busy installing modular hip systems in about 400 patients, the Palm Beach Post reports. In the past year, he’s been busy removing them from 100 of those patients, because the now-recalled artificial device is contaminating their blood with metal.
