Flu Bad in FL, But Worse Elsewhere

Although Florida is experiencing widespread flu activity, it’s not nearly as bad as other states across the country, the Palm Beach Post reports.More than half of the states in the U.S. are reporting high levels of flu-like illness.

In Florida, emergency rooms are seeing increases in patients coming in with the flu, according to the Post.

Meanwhile, as health officials urge people to get vaccinated, the flu shot supply remains stable, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens say they’ve been apply to replenish their stock quickly, and customers might experience a one-to-two day wait, the Sun-Sentinel reports.
