A worker at a South Florida hospital was struck and killed by a car outside the emergency room.
Broward Sheriff's spokeswoman Gina Carter tells WPLG the worker was rushed inside the Cleveland Clinic in Weston for treatment on Wednesday night but died a short time later.
She says the driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
In a statement, the Cleveland Clinic called the woman a "dedicated caregiver, committed mother and friend to many.
The victim's name hasn't been released. No further details were available.
Weston is west of Fort Lauderdale.
