Gun-Control Activists Visit Capitol
Two gun-control groups and a grieving father delivered more than 28,000 signed postcards from across the nation to the Florida Capitol offices of U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio and Gov. Rick Scott on Wednesday.
Richard Martinez, whose 20-year-old son was killed in a University of California/Santa Barbara shooting rampage in late May, accompanied the groups: Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.
Rubio and Scott, both Republicans who have supported laws backed by the National Rifle Association, were both out of the office.
