This is the next installment in a continuing investigation by the Tampa Bay Times and Center for Investigative Reporting into so-called “charities” scam millions from unsuspecting people, particularly the elderly. The reporters tracked the back-shop phone operations to a particular marketing company, Associated Community Services , which pockets most of the donations.
