The Florida Hospital Association has released a study that says a number of quality initiatives are saving lives and money at hospitals around the state. Readmissions and surgical complications have dropped almost 15 percent over five years, according to a news release. The report also notes double-digit decreases in blood stream infections and urinary tract infections.
