Levine on ‘60 Minutes’ Hotseat

CBS reported on 60 Minutes that more than 100 HMA contacts said the chain pushed doctors to admit patients who didn't need it. HMA's Alan Levine, former FL health chief, said that isn't so, in comments to the Naples Daily News. Before the broadcast, HMA released data in defense of its practices.

Meanwhile, The New York Times is reporting similar admissions patterns in other places around the country.
