Commissioner Says He Heard Voters on Fluoride
Two Pinellas County Commission members lost their seats in this week's election after their opponents criticized their vote to remove fluoride from the water supply. A third member may be wavering.
One year after voting to stop adding fluoride to Pinellas County's drinking water, Commissioner Norm Roche has had a change of heart. On Thursday, two days after voters unseated two Republican incumbents who had joined Roche in voting against fluoridation, the commissioner said he would support a proposal to add it back into the water.
