City attorneys are close to finalizing a new lease that would let Bayfront Medical Center switch to a for-profit hospital by joining a major hospital chain. The 106-year-old hospital that serves as Pinellas County's major trauma center plans to partner with Health Management Associates, a Naples company that runs dozens of hospitals in the Southeast.
