Aquifer Models Flawed, Tests Show
Fluorescent dye dropped by scientists into test sites zipped through the aquifer, a result they say shows the problem with the computer model the state uses to gauge the impact of water usage.
Florida's water permits are based on faulty science, leading to pollution. Coke proved it. During a dry day in April 2010, scientists trying to trace the source of pollution in Silver Springs dropped 30 pounds of fluorescent dye into several wells and sinkholes a few miles away.
