In a state with the nation's second lowest rate of vaccination against the coronavirus, a jump in the number of calls to poison control has prompted warnings about ingesting the drug ivermectin.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott says his order ensures "that all businesses and families in Texas have the freedom to determine their own destiny." Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves tweeted: "It is time!"

The judge blocked the state from enforcing its ban, writing that Mississippi passed a law that it knew was unconstitutional.
