The operator of a Florida gun show says he's willing to move to another location in the wake of the massacre that happened at a nearby high school, but he might go to court if he can't find anything.

The Sun Sentinel reports that Khaled Akkawi of Florida Gun Shows Inc. is trying to find a new venue. Fort Lauderdale city commissioners agreed last month to end gun shows at the city's War Memorial Auditorium when the organizer's agreement expires in November after five more shows.

The gun show's attorney says Akkawi has the contractual right to remain at the auditorium through 2025. Akkawi says he wants to remain amicable but will sue the city to protect his business.

A gunman killed 17 students and staff members Feb. 14 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
