Former HMA Executive Indicted

A former Health Management Associates hospital executive has been indicted on charges of falsifying records and impeding a federal investigation, the Tampa Bay Times reports. Joshua S. Putter, a former vice president for the Naples-based hospital chain, is charged in relation to events that happened in Charlotte County in 2008, the Ocala Star-Banner reports. HMA is under investigation by several federal agencies amid questions of its admitting practices. Prosecutors said additional charges will be coming, the Star-Banner reports.
