Orlando Health workers are upset that their paychecks will soon shrink by as much as 20 percent.  Officials for the eight-hospital system have notified workers that across-the-board pay cuts will take effect Sept. 8, according to the Orlando Sentinel.  Night differential pay would be cut by more than half, 500 positions will be eliminated, and hours will be cut.  Meanwhile, some workers are upset at Orlando Health CEO Sherrie Sitarik’s seven-figure compensation.

Originally founded in December 2006 as an independent grassroots publication dedicated to coverage of health issues in Florida, Health News Florida was acquired by WUSF Public Media in September 2012.
