Chiropractor Lenny Linardos of Holiday is being questioned in connection to a shooting at his clinic that left a man gravely injured, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
The shooting occurred at the West Coast Spine and Injury Center in Holiday late Monday morning, while the clinic was open for business but no patients were present, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office told the Times. A nurse working at the clinic reported hearing multiple gunshots after a man identified as Jaime Velez entered Linardos’ office.
A patient who visited the clinic after the shooting told the Times that Linaros is a “voice-of-reason” type. But public records show Linardos has a history of domestic battery and disorderly conduct and has been sued multiple times over financial disputes and taxes, the Times reported.
Velez, recently released from prison in New York, was placed on parole in 2009 after serving a five-year sentence for attempted second-degree robbery, according to the Times.
