South Florida’s Baptist Health hospital network is moving into Palm Beach County with the acquisition of two Bethesda Health hospitals in Boynton Beach, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Baptist Health already operates six hospitals in Miami-Dade County, and one in the Florida Keys. It also expanded its reach into Broward County in recent years with outpatient and urgent care facilities, the Sun Sentinel reports. The merger is estimated to take two years, according to the Sun Sentinel.
