51 Horses Removed From Florida Farm; Charges Pending

Authorities say they've removed more than 50 horses from a Florida farm in various stages of neglect.

A Union County Sheriff's Office news release said Monday that 51 animals have been moved from the self-proclaimed 40-acre horse rescue in Lake Butler to a Tallahassee veterinary hospital.

Officials say two horses were found dead on the property, and many others required immediate treatment. Deputies weren't immediately naming the property owner or the people suspected of neglecting the horses.

Officials say animal cruelty charges and arrests are pending.
