Dericka James is a WUSF/USF Zimmerman School digital news intern for summer 2018.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Dericka moved to Tampa to attend the University of South Florida. She is now in her senior year, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, with a concentration in broadcast production. She is currently a staff writer for Hy-Lo News, an online community news source covering Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
Dericka would like to work in radio and is interested in entertainment news.
