Our former South Florida reporter recently left for a larger publication and I need help down there! Given funding uncertainties, we'd prefer for now to use freelancers.
For this gig, reporting experience is more important than writing talent. Applicants must be able to do record checks online and at the courthouse and must be able to approach strangers for interviews with grace and without fear.
Our pay rates for freelancers aren't as high as national magazines but are a lot better than newspapers.
