COVID-19 Deaths In Florida Top 19,000; 9.1% Positivity Reported

Wednesday’s coronavirus report from the Department of Health reported the state is well over the 1 million mark of positive cases.

The report shows 9,994 people tested positive for the coronavirus since Tuesday. That brings the statewide total to 1,018,160.

Of the people tested for the first time across Florida, 9.1% were positive.

The state also reported 96 new deaths related to coronavirus on Tuesday. A total of 19,012 people have died in Florida due to complications related to the coronavirus.

The deaths recorded since Wednesday’s report may have occurred days or weeks earlier.

Here are the latest figures according to the Florida Department of Health.

• Positive Tests – 1,018,160
• Deaths – 19,012
