A criminal investigation is underway after a 65-year-old man died at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa.

The Tampa Bay Times reports investigators want to know what medications were prescribed to Hermon Biddines while he was undergoing treatment earlier this month.

The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office and the University of South Florida Police Department ruled his death "suspicious."

Prosecutors are seeking access to medical records from Nov. 1 through Nov. 7, according to court documents filed in court last week. They're seeking his prescription history, including which debit or credit card was used to buy the medications and any relevant surveillance video.

Moffitt spokesman Steve Blanchard told the newspaper the center is cooperating with investigators. He declined further comment, as did the university police spokesman.
