A Kissimmee doctor has been arrested for inappropriately touching a female patient during two office visits, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

A 20-year-old woman told the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office that Dr. Basharat Hussain conducted an exam without a nurse in the room during a visit last Monday and did not wear gloves, according to the Sentinel.

When the patient returned the next day to get a doctor’s note for work, she told detectives the doctor was outside the office, which was closed, but he took the patient inside. According to the Sentinel, Hussain asked the woman to stand, lifted her dress and started checking her again. An Osceola Sheriff’s spokeswoman told the Sentinel in an email that Hussain then “smirked” and asked the patient “if she felt excited.”

According to Florida Department of Health records, Hussain’s license is active, however a spokesperson told the Sentinel that it could be suspended if he is found to pose an immediate threat to the “welfare of public health.”
