The Florida Agency For Health Care Administration is demanding to see Medicaid contracts between hospitals and health insurers, the Tampa Bay Times reports. A letter from agency secretary Liz Dudek to Amerigroup Florida says AHCA has “grave concerns that hospital contractual arrangements may have may have ballooned to unreasonable proportions and higher than what is allowed by state law.” In some cases, the letter says, the contracted rate is higher than “120% of the posted Medicaid rate.” Insurers have an Aug. 1 deadline to share financials with AHCA.
