‘Toxic Tush’ Doc Back in Jail

A South Florida woman who just completed a year in prison for practicing medicine without a license is back in jail on the same charges, the Miami Herald reports.

Ron Oneal Morris, who is accused of injecting toxic concoctions including super glue and Fix-a-Flat into the buttocks of women during illegal cosmetic procedures, is now in the Broward County jail, charged with new multiple counts of practicing medicine without a license and manslaughter, the Herald reports. The manslaughter charge arose after a woman who told medical examiners she had received treatments from Morris between 2007 and 2011 later died as a consequence of those procedures, according to the Herald.

Originally founded in December 2006 as an independent grassroots publication dedicated to coverage of health issues in Florida, Health News Florida was acquired by WUSF Public Media in September 2012.
