A new study released Wednesday by the Georgetown University Health Policy Institute's Center for Children and Families found that Hispanic children in Florida are more likely to lack health insurance than Hispanic children in other states, the Miami Heraldreports.
Hispanic children in Florida are uninsured at a rate of 14.4 percent, higher than the national average of 11.5 percent. According to the Herald, the study also found that 2 of every 3 uninsured Hispanic children are eligible for Medicaid through the Children's Health Insurance Program, but are not enrolled.
