St. Johns County Commissioner Bill McClure says he is cooperating with the state investigation of his Medi+M.D. clinics that began last Thursday, the Florida Times-Union reports.
According to search warrants served by the Florida Attorney General’s Office, potential charges include health-care fraud, conspiracy to commit health-care fraud, Medicaid provider fraud, grand theft, falsifying a death certificate and practicing medicine without a license, the Times-Union reports.
McClure said in a statement he has no idea what led to the investigation, according to the Times-Union.
