The head of Florida’s Department of Children and Families is asking Gov. Rick Scott and the Florida Legislature to increase her department’s budget.
Interim Secretary Esther Jacobo wants to reduce caseloads from 13.3 to 10 per investigator, and assign two-person teams to children under the age of 4 who live in high-risk homes, the News Service of Florida reports.
