Longtime patient Pauline Braathen has made a gift of $30 million to Cleveland Clinic Florida, the largest gift in the organization’s 25-year history, according to a press release. Braathen’s donation will fund the construction of a five-story, 143,000 square foot building on the Weston campus that will house the cancer center and an expanded neurological center.
Ms. Braathen, a former fashion model and widow of a Norwegian businessman, lives on a private apartment ship called "The World." She returns to South Florida periodically for health care.
