The University of Florida has announced that it is rolling out four-year undergraduate degrees wholly online, including several that are health-related. By state law, tuition will be capped at 75 percent of the on-campus rate, and students also will be spared a number of fees, as well as room and board.
In January, UF will offer five online four-year degrees, including Health Education & Behavior and Environmental Management. Biology and psychology degree offerings online will be added in June, UF says.
According to UF's announcement, only a handful of state universities offer the full four-year format online. Many UF courses have been given online, the announcement says, but primarily for graduate students or two-year transfers.
