Blue Gets OK to Reorganize

Amid promises from Florida’s largest insurer that it won’t sell company stock to outsiders unless it absolutely has to, and after having a chat with Florida Blue lobbyist Paul Sanborn, state regulators approved Florida Blue’s request to reorganize, the Florida Times-Union reports. Policyholders still have to agree to the plan, which creates a mutual insurance holding company to oversee the nonprofit health insurer and other subsidies.
