University of Florida officials have hired a cardiothoracic surgeon from the University of Kentucky, a program that is under suspension for as-yet-undisclosed reasons. Dr. Mark Plunkett will start at UF after his Aug. 14 resignation from the Kentucky school, the Gainesville Sun reports.
