According to two new reports, Medicaid expansion under the federal health law would potentially help some low-wage businesses. As the Tampa Bay Times reports, if employees are covered by Medicaid, the business wouldn’t have to provide coverage, nor would they face a penalty for not offering health insurance. But many Florida business with employees in low-paying services jobs are reluctant to publicly embrace the expansion.
