Massage Therapists Lose Licenses Over Fake Credentials

More than 50 people voluntarily gave up their licenses and the Florida Department of Health Board of Massage Therapy revoked the licenses of 19 other massage therapists last week. Many of them got phony credentials from the Florida College  of Natural Health, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Law enforcement officials say the fraudulent certificates are an indicator of human trafficking activity, according to the Sun-Sentinel.

Meanwhile, an awareness event over the weekend highlighted the state as a “hub for human trafficking,” the Orlando Sentinel reports.
