Lawmakers Get Earful From Parents

Social services State lawmakers heard from parents of disabled children, who said the state seems to prefer warehousing their kids in nursing homes for seniors rather have them be taken care of at home. Twice in the past year, state health administrators cut the number of hours caregivers assisted Alex Perez's severely disabled son at his Westchester home.
