Statewide Protests on ‘Slime Crime’

Palm Beach Post

Protestors around the state tried to convince the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that it, not the state, should be in charge of water quality standards, the Florida Times-Union reports. As the Palm Beach Post reports, they don’t trust the state to regulate the amount of phosphorus and nitrogen in Florida waterways.

Originally founded in December 2006 as an independent grassroots publication dedicated to coverage of health issues in Florida, Health News Florida was acquired by WUSF Public Media in September 2012.
